January Mind Challenge
This month, do something so out of character for yourself that it challenges your mind. If you always wear your watch on your right wrist, switch to your left. Always listen to NPR on the morning ride into work? Switch to a CD (maybe borrowed from your 14 year old nephew. What are they listening to these days, anyway?) Try some different foods. Talk to someone you have never made time for before. Make at least one change per week in January. Experience the unfamiliar. Journal your reactions and pat yourself on the back for trying something new.

This is a great idea, Claudette! Who knows what new things await us if we look left instead of right? I will take a different way to work this weekend, I started wearing a different watch this week, and we'll see what else comes to mind now that you've put this challenge out there for us. I think little changes may have an impact, besides the obvious, that is not apparent to us. Things that we can't see about our behavior, about our perspective, that affect our indivudual worlds just as the wings of the butterly create the tsunami.
Nice mind challenge Claudette. I've been trying to decide on this one..maybe deciding is the wrong way to approach this one. For this challenge I am going to give the 5 minute rule a shot. I've put it off mostly saying to myself, "I already have a plan for this or that" or "I just need to get myself together first." I will use the 5 minute rule for 1) drawing my hand for the spirit challenge, 2) working on the hanging leg raise at the gym. Lets get to it.
